Lindis Pass is a must do when travelling from Tekapo to Wanaka and Queenstown.
This was one of my “must photograph” images while I was travelling around the South Island of New Zealand recently.
I really wanted it with a blanket of snow but when I saw this scene, I was totally blown away as the contrast of receding snow with the tussock grasses on the mountain sides and that cloud formation simply sold me.
This is once again a multi shot (9 images) panorama shot on my Nikon D810 using a Nikkor 24-70 2.8G lens.
The final image comes in at approx 19000px long which will produce an enormous printed image should anyone wish to have one hanging on their wall.Advertisements
