Bloodmoon 2015

I stayed up last night with my dad to try and capture the total lunar eclipse (bloodmoon). This was the shortest total eclipse this century (5 mins) and we won’t see another one until 2018 so we had to try.
It had been raining for the past 2 days so when the clouds started to breakup around sunset we began to get a little excited that we might see something.
We were lucky enough to have gaps in the cloud cover that we could capture a few images just before the total eclipse at 10.57pm here in Bathurst NSW.
As soon as it hit total eclipse a thick cloud came across and hid it from view so we had to settle for what we had already captured.
Hope you like my interpretation.
