Portal to another world

It’s been a while since I’ve posted on here.
I haven’t had the time to shoot any landscapes for some time now due to other commitments, so I headed out on Friday night to one of my favourite locations.
I’ve been watching the star charts for months now, waiting for the winter skies to star rising at the right time for me to get out and shoot them.
We reached our location around 9pm and were greeted with an amazing milky way band punching out of the sky at us.
Even though I’d been awake since 4am I didn’t get tired due to being so stoked with what we were capturing.
This shot was the result of letting a few photographers loose at night with a stunning sky over a great location with some steel wool and a kitchen whisk.
Hope you love it as much as I do.

  1. This picture completely had me intrigued when I viewed it on Leanne Cole’s page! I am very new at photography (in the sense of trading my iPhone photos for the canon and actually learning how to use it.) This past week I found the bulb setting… I absolutely love your creativity, combined with preserving the natural beauty of your shots. I am a huge fan of your work!
